Macfarlane day brought less action than the 2015 edition but as always, as the tide changed and the day wore on, sets began to get interesting in the Diamond Head lanes especially as Ānuenueʻs Novice “Aʻs discovered. Paddling in Lane 1, the crew made their turn and headed for shore in good shape. However, a big set rolled in and swept them off course, snapping their ama in the process. Points wise, it was a 70s day with both men and women taking third in their races.
